– Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny) today issued the following statement regarding Gov. Tom Wolf’s veto of House Resolution 836, which would terminate his March 6 disaster emergency declaration.
“I am disappointed, but not surprised, by the governor’s decision to veto House Resolution 836
,” said Gaydos. “The latest ruling from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court came as a complete shock to millions of Pennsylvanians in light of the court’s prior ruling on Friends of Danny DeVito v. Wolf, ostensibly affirming the Legislature’s authority to terminate such a declaration at any time by concurrent resolution.
“Despite this veto, my colleagues and I will continue working to help all Pennsylvanians rebuild and recover from this governor’s disastrous decrees.”
