FINDLAY TOWNSHIP – Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny) applauds the expansion of operations of Nord-Lock Group, a manufacturer of secure bolting solutions, in the 44th Legislative District.

“This is great news for our district,” Gaydos said. “It’s great to see a company that’s been in our area for over 30 years stay here and continue to grow and bring more jobs to our region.”

The expansion project includes the construction of a 125,000-square-foot building in Findlay Township that will serve as Nord-Lock Group’s North American headquarters. Manufacturing operations will be consolidated into the new site as well. The company has committed to investing at least $4 million into the project, which is expected to create 37 new, full-time jobs and retain 110 existing jobs over the next three years.

Nord-Lock Group received a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development for the project. The proposal includes $111,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits to be distributed upon creation of the new jobs, and a $29,000 workforce development grant to help the company train its workers.

Nord-Lock Group offers four technology brands: Nord-Lock, Expander, Superbolt and Boltight. Superbolt, Inc., founded in 1984 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, is the original inventor of multi-jackbolt tensioning technology.
