CRESCENT TOWNSHIP – Rep. Valerie Gaydos (R-Allegheny) will be hosting a Homeowners Association (HOA) Informational Seminar on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6-8 p.m., at the Crescent Township Volunteer Fire Department, on McGovern Boulevard, State Route 51 in Crescent Township.
Last year,
Act 17 of 2018 was adapted, allowing for complaints of certain violations of portions of Title 68 including meetings, quorums, voting/proxies and other association records.
Gaydos’ free informational seminar will feature a presentation from a panel of experts to discuss the recently enacted laws governing HOA boards.
“With a very large number of residents living in private communities in our district, my office and I have been working diligently to assist them in a productive manner,” Gaydos said. “The goal of this seminar is to provide residents with the most up-to-date information from our panel of experts, who are here to help residents know the laws associated with HOAs and answer any questions or concerns they might have.”
The panel will include Senior Deputy Attorney General Amy Schulman and Agent Supervisor Kathryn Passarelli from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office; former State Representative and experienced attorney of real estate transactions Thomas Stevenson; and attorney Bradley Dornish.
The panel will be available to update residents on the new laws and will be available to answer any questions regarding Act 17, Title 68 and more.
This seminar is free to attend, but pre-registration is required by calling Gaydos’ district office at 412-262-3780, or by visiting
