HARRISBURG – Speaker of the House Mike Turzai, joined by members of the Allegheny County House delegation, sent the attached letter to Dr. Rachel Levine, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, requesting she allow hospitals and health systems in the Allegheny County area to reopen to allow for the treatment of COVID-19 patients as well as the pre-planned, medically necessary surgeries that are currently being prevented.
Along with Turzai, the members representing parts of Allegheny County who signed the letter are Reps. Robert Brooks, Natalie Mihalek, Jason Ortitay, Lori Mizgorski, Valerie Gaydos and Mike Puskaric.
